Who doesn’t like to indulge in luxury for once? And partying with this bottle of whisky is one of the ways to do that. But, the catch is you can’t buy this. Why? Because it is specially made for Queen Elizabeth II, to honor her visit to Churchill Downs for this year’s Kentucky Derby. Yup! Bad luck there.
Crown Royal has blended this batch of whisky especially for the queen. And for your information, the first ever batch of the Crown Royal Canadian Blended Whisky was made in 1939 for the Queens parents to honor their Grand Tour of Canada. The batch was almost destroyed when a fire broke out at the Seagram’s Waterloo Distillery in Ontario. Only a few barrels were spared and out of them the ones with highest rye content, became the Crown Royal XR Extra Rare Heritage Blend.
Not only this, the glass bottle of the whisky is also specially and etched in 24 karat gold leaf. The decanter is one of a kind and designed by a master glass designer. Hmmm...Would the queen share it with any one at the derby?
