Paris Hilton to endorse Bordeaux wines

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton is the new face of Bordeaux wines. Hilton, 26, will be appearing in an ad campaign including a TV ad, poster and print campaign which will be featured in Europe and the US through summer and autumn. The strapline for the ad is ‘Paris: One Night in Bordeaux’ and the commercial will be unveiled at the Vinexpo trade fair in June this year. Paris herself will launch the campaign on the first day of Vinexpo (17 June), will be attended by more than 50,000 members of the international wine trade, in a hot air balloon. A representative for Bordeaux wine trade body said that a new ad campaign is being planned for autumn, but it refused to confirm Hilton’s involvement. Paris is not new to wine endorsement, as she has earlier been associated with Rich, a canned Prosecco, in Austria. However, it is the first time when Bordeaux is tying up with an A lister for an advertising campaign.
