Its price made it the most expensive ice wine for $30,000 :) Royal DeMaria has overshadowed the Chateau Petrus (£20,000).
Ice wine is made from grapes picked at -8C and these wines are among the world’s most labor-intensive wines. The Billy Myers series ice-wine is one of the 18 different varieties of ice-wine Royal DeMaria have marketed from their Ontario vineyard. These ice wines are in varying flavors and colors. There are just five cases (60 bottles) of the Chardonnay ice wine, which is named for Billy Myers.
